Five Years

You. I remember the first time I saw you. You talked to me and asked me a question. I answered. I didn't know it back then, but you would be the single thing I would chase for all five of my years in high school. Grade 8: I'm sorry about everything that happened this year. I did things I regret and I said some things I'm not proud of. Just thank you for never snaking on me and for going through it all. Grade 9: You were in my socials class this year, but I decided not to pursue anything with you because I felt it was still too close to grade 8 and there wouldn't be enough time to distance myself from what I was and what I wanted to show you who I was now. I just helped you occasionally, but I kept it at that. Grade 10:  I didn't have you in any of my classes this year, but I just helped you with any homework you had and things of that sort. I decided one thing was for sure this year. I was gonna improve myself and do many more extra things next year to make su...

Spani Pool: A Return 3 Years Later

This weekend, I went to Spani Pool to watch my brother swim. It had been 3 years since I last was there, and when I was there last time, I was leading off my team in the freestyle relay in provincials. We came 6th. After 3 years, I thought I would take the time to reflect on what has happened in those 3 years since I swam in my first (and last) provincials. 2017: After placing 6th in Provincials after having been through a dream season, I thought that things would go up. After all, I would improve, and next years group of swimmers were destined to be contenders for a provincial championship. Although the group of swimmers were highly competitive, I ended up only placing 4th in my club in the 50m freestyle and nothing else. Technically, in a freestyle relay, the top 4 swimmers from a club make up the relay, however, the coaches went with a swimmer who had more experience than me. Therefore, another spot in Provincials was open because my cousin had qualified and would not be swimming...

Signed Up For Classes And?

So I just signed up for my classes in the Fall term. They seem hard because they're all packed together but I feel like I can manage. I have Math then physics and health sciences and then chem on Monday and Wednesday. I get Tuesday off YAY! Thursday is a lab and another class and Friday is more of the same. Connor swam in this past weekends swim meet and is now 2nd in the province in 50 Fly and 200 IM, and maintains being 1st in 100 fly.

Hmmmmm

Hey y'all it's early July. Hows your Summer going? Mines pretty good. Just went out with Matthew Connor and Chris today to Popeyes in Pt Coq and it was really good and worth the hour to get there. Currently thinking of what to take next year hmmm what should I take? I'm stuck between physics or english because I'm for sure taking calculus, biology and chemistry. Been to one swim meet, Connor broke a meet record yay. But that's it so far LOL
