Super Bowl LIII - The Boring Bowl

Yesterday, we all watched a super bowl that became the most boring super bowl we have ever witnessed, regardless if we were 100 or 1. We all thought that this year's super bowl would either be as good or surpass last year's. Rams Vs Patriots. The GOAT vs the upcomer. What we were left with was a disappointment. The final score was 13-3. I have never witnessed a game with that much hype coming into it end like that. The NFC or AFC championship games could've been the super bowl and everyone would've been okay with that. The Rams were god awful. Jared Goff failed to find any of his receivers, other than Brandin Cooks and he refused to throw any downfield passes throughout the game. When he decided to throw downfield, one pass was knocked out of Cook's hands, and one pass was intercepted by Stephon Gilmore, theoretically ending the game. The Rams went with the running game on 1st down way too much, and thus became extremely predictable. The only Ram that deserves any credit is Johnny Hekker, who broke the super bowl record for longest punt. The Patriots played decent and Brady didn't do anything special, other than the fantastic pass to Gronkowski in double coverage to allow Sony Michel to punch it in for the game's only touchdown. Julian Edelman was named MVP, which he deserves, as he caught a bunch of passes and played fantastic. The Rams refused to put him in double coverage when it counted. As you can tell, I know jack when it comes to football. If we thought Super Bowl 50 was boring, we clearly were spoiled as we had fantastic games such as XLIX, LI, LII and XLVII. This game made Super Bowl 50 seem extremely exciting. Here's to hoping LIV is better!
